I agree John, he is too over the top for me. I think he is very talented but not my cup of tea as they say. For me, Jerry Lewis and Steve Martin fall into the same category.

I like him in "Yes Man" ,"Dumber and Dumber", "Man on the Moon", "Liar, Liar" and a few others. Some I just don't grow fond of.

Steve Martin was very good in "Cheaper by the Dozen" His later stuff is much better I think, where he is more serious. You probably think of him being in the SNL cast, and going overboard on that.
Bill Murray is a personal hero, and he was nearly as crazy and stupid as Jim Carrey, but he is liked by so many more people than Jim.

I like listening to blue grass every once in awhile but it was driving the wife crazy so turned it off...
