Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Found one more partial load of brush and yard trimmings for the burn pile. Headed out there in a minute.
Torklift Brackets, Happy Jack swing out brackets and Lance Pigtail are all here and in one place. Speeding things up by a day and headed to Salem in the morning to get them.
Fire Dept. here has been kept hopping today. Our guys are so tied up that we have McMinnville FD and Amity FD down at our Station covering us. Meanwhile, Lincoln County, Polk County, McMinnville, Amity and Ore State Forestry are providing backup - mutual aid on the fires to our combined Sheridan/Willamina = West Valley Fire Dept. To be honest, while working in the yard, I haven't been listening to the scanner to keep up but I suspect someone has been running around setting at least a few of these fires. I think the big one that is taking up the most resources was Jim's Trading Post and the adjoining junk yard out in Grand Ronde.

Torklift tie down brackets and the Lance Camper pigtail are all installed and ready to go on the new to us RBF..

Happy Friday all. At work hoping to get done by 10 today before drunk fest people start filling up the town too much. Oregon Jamboree music festival for the next few days.
Great hike yesterday, did Indian cave and Soda falls, in an hour in the heat so we almost ran most of it.

Good morning everyone. My mother in law and sisters in law left at 4:30 this morning and are now going through Shasta Valley on the way back down to Riverside, CA. We had a nice visit. Luckily I get along well with my in-laws.
We had a nice picnic dinner at Peavy Arboretum with them yesterday, and a hike up to the pond and logging sports arena.
Jim, just so you know, RBF is widely used as an acronym for “Resting B**** Face”, not just root beer float.
