Morning all. Got a buddy coming out Monday afternoon to help with pulling the engine and tranny out of the donor truck. Tried doing it a few week back by myself and I think i will end up taking the tranny off and not trying to do both connected things were catching too much.

Good morning Chris. I’m home with the boys.

 

Belated good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Got back in the wee hours of the morning. Had a good trip, barring a couple of wheel / tire problems. Will have to run to town on Monday and deal with tire and wheel problems.
One the day we were leaving. We had made a trip to the farm with hedge trimmings for the burn pile. I noticed after the first trip that the passenger side rear tire appeared to have a slow leak. Aired it up thinking we may have picked up a nail or something else out at the farm. Aired it up to 80#. After the second trip to the brush pile I had to add air to it again. Made a quick trip to town, and they couldn't find a leak or any punctures. Came home, loaded the camper and took off for Diamond Lake the next morning. Tire was up - no air needed. Stopped in Corvallis at Bi-Mart to check the tire. It was down by 20#. Went a couple of blocks up the road to Les Schwab. No holes in the tire, but the rim was leaking - a crack. Looked almost like it had been hit by something. Had to get a replacement rim and continued. 2 weeks and a thousand miles later, on the way home, we stopped at Pioneer Plaza truck stop. Noticed the drivers side rear was low. Aired it up and came on home. It is sitting in the driveway this morning with the tire, for all intents and purposed, flat.

All in all, a very good trip. Lots of fish and lots of fun.

These folks helped to make sure our boat was safe while it was beached in camp.


This fellow seemed to be zeroed in on our fish basket. He changed his mind about a 100 foot off the stern. Maybe he thought my camera was a shotgun!
