Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Up to 55.8 here with a lot of overcast. No rain in the forecast until possibly - tonight and tomorrow up to 1100 is listed at 20%.
Spent part of the morning reading up on a couple of bills that the House passed and sent to the Oregon Senate. With the Gross receipts tax (hidden sales tax - already passed and signed by Brown) and the Cap and Trade bill it looks like it might make the wallets pucker up like a prune that spent 12 hours too much time in the dryer. The Cap and Trade bill alone is really going to cause some difficulty on our 300 acre farm. What I can't believe is how blatantly the Democratic Legislators are ignoring what the voters have told them. The Gross Receipts Tax and the Illegal Alien drivers license bill were thoroughly defeated by the voters of Oregon. The Dems are telling us to go to and passing these laws anyway WITH a 'deal killer bill' threat to the voters in one case and the emergency clause in the Illegal Alien drivers license so the voters can't shove it back down their throats like they did the last time.
Jim, this state is in complete disarray... Nothing like moving to a new place and creating the exact thing you were trying to escape from.
True.
Before I got sick, we were really leaning toward moving to Or. Not to be taken lightly, all the way across the country, and I have a LOT of crap. er, um STUFF
As the years tick on, ya'll are not only getting as bad as Maryland, but worse.
I think I will stay put, and just visit places now. To be honest, I won't fit in. I like guns, Don't like pot, and could care les about drinking
When I shop, I want my grocery's in a bag, and when I get a drink, it needs a straw
Ad if someone goes in the lady's room with my wife that has an outie, I don't want her to end up in jail...…...
Good evening Oreogn and eveyone everywhere else. Evening sea breeze came up and cooled things off nicely.
Got out and played a little in the yard this afternoon. Played around with a new 24" 60 volt battery powered hedge trimmer I got at Lowes yesterday. A bad hedge cut is like a bad haircut on an older person. By this time next year you probably won't be able to notice it.
Morning all! Almost got the engine and tranny out of the donor truck yesterday. Just have the tranny linkage to disconnect and the throttle cable. Everything else is dis-connected and drained. Hope to finish that up Sunday after church.
Good morning Jim, Chris, Andy, and the rest of the Oregon crew, happy Thirsty Thursday! My last work day for the next 17. It'll be nice to finally get some work done on my 67!
Thanks Evan, but you've seen the place 10000 projects started and what seems like little progress. Want to get the old F150 off the place by the end of month. Anyone needing parts off a '85 F150 let me know. Has a good radiator i'm not going to use and the body is in good to great shape minus the moss.
