I received a letter from Ford this week saying that they where voluntary offering to seal the the door locks at there cost (from freezing), this was for the 2017 that i dont have anymore (rolled it down a MTN side). So i would guess that Ford knows there is a problem.
Thanjs for sharing that, chevmn56, I would like to think that these same steps are or will be occurring at the factory when mine is built around January, but problems with posters’ 2019s make me question that.
Any mention of how many doors? Seems like it wouldn't be out of line to argue for getting them to seal all 4 doors vs. just the ones that have had the issue.
you guys didnt get the heated door latch option, thats why theres a problem, just like the dodge heated tailgates so you hands dont get cold when you push them home.
Mine had the FSA completed and the door still froze when it only went down to 20. They "fixed" all 4 doors when it was in there for the FSA and it smelled of silicone the day I picked it up. I previously had the latch and cables replaced prior to the FSA coming out. The dealership claims it's a water intrusion issue and this latest fix isn't a fix at all. I didn't know there was a need to reinvent the door latch on these trucks but whomever did should be on the unemployment line.
I just got a recall letter on this yesterday. Sounds like if you take it in they will add more door seals and insulation. Hasn't happened to me yet, but it's about to get cold in Colorado. Good luck.

I'm in the same boat hope my 18.that I got in April doesn't freeze up
