Another month is here.
Finally getting a little cooler and pumpkin spice seems to be in everything now. Leaves are starting to fall but not sure which is worse, mowing grass or blowing leaves. The new carb for the ford tractor should be here tomorrow.
The suburban started having a funny vibration on the way to work yesterday, I think I have narrowed it down to either a bad axle bearing or the rear end is going out. I only vibrates under acceleration and it's not the tires. I may have to start looking for another commute vehicle. I am hoping the guy gets back with me today about the supervisor job in Rome. If I get it I would just drive the lightning and sell the suburban.
The guy won't call me back so I am guessing I didn't get the job. Bummer but it's alright. The vibration is not any better but not any worse either. We are trying to decide what we want to get. Would like another big SUV but we really need something with better gas mileage and I want to be able to flat tow it behind the motorhome if we need too. I got the tractor running tonight, man it runs so much better with the new carb. It probibly needed a new one a long time ago.
Would have replyed sooner but did not realize a new chat. Dont give up on the new job yet. I got my tractor back up yesterday. It was a vad shutoff valve (between the tank and filter) and clamps. The fuel shut off soliendoid is on the pump. I by pass that valve. I can see a pupose for it the system is gravity feed to the IP. I dont think fuel would go past the ip. Did some redneck mods to the tractor . The wire ties are only temp till I get hose clamps
This happened to my sons truck Tuesday night around 1130. No known cause. My grandsobs car was parked next to it. My DiL truck was in the garage it got damaged also. He used his floor jack to move her truck over to the other side to get it out.
Dang Hugh, you think you used enough zip ties!!
That's a shame about the truck. I'm glad it didn't take out the house.,
I have to switch the linkages tonight on the tractor since I put them on backwards. The choke is the throttle and the throttle is the choke. It was getting dark so I stopped for the night.

Sorry to hear and see that but glad it didn't get any worse! The damage looks like it started in the engine bay.
It did. but there was no one around had been parked since 6 pm. He had the adjusters out yesterday. as of right now did not total the car, but who knows what hidden damage
I thought his truck was a 12 it a 13 There was recall on some 11/12 for for the BCM shorting out.

I am getting 30 + on our Jeep. not sure if newer 4wd Jeep are flat tow
TGIF !
I have worked overtime everyday this week. I was on the clock for 11 hours yesterday, and at least another 10 hour work day today. I had to special order the oil filter and the oil for the maserati. It takes a special euru blend 5w-40 oil and no one stocks it. It was 37.00 for the oil filter and 75.00 for 6 qts of oil. Seems like a lot of money at one time but it only gets changed once a year or every 20 thousand miles.
The suburban still has a vibration so I am thinking of changing the transmission fluid and filter. I did it last year but it would not hurt to rule out the transmission. I also have to change the oil in mom in laws car today, along with the maserati. The ladies are doing the 411 yard sale today so that will keep them busy while I turn some wrenches.
