They offered me a rental coordinator position in Calhoun and they offered me a lead man position too. I have not officially turned them down but the guys on the floor say they court you for a day or so with offers and then when they realize you are still leaving they go ahead and let you go. If they do I can start on Monday for AG-Pro. I'll just come home and get the trailer and go back and get my tools, way too big for just a truck bed. I am good either way. The wife says it's up to me but I know she wants me to take the job in Rome.
both of those positions come with big chunk of mamagement stress. I think you will be happer over there. I would take the trailer to work in the morning save that additional 3 hour round trip.
everything but the cab, frame, and bed are ready for epoxy on the ford!
**** weather so I havent ordered any sort of chemical rust stuff, paint, or bondo, too cold and rainy
Currently looking for new work. Kind of waiting on girls dads work to let a dude go. Work is good, but boss is making too many risky decisions that follow the same path as the old shop I was at. Yall remember that one. Even the Foreman has now openly stated to us techs hes looking, as long as most of us, (the smart techs).
Im also waiting too, foreman and some others leave, my opportunity for more money and promotions. The foreman and i are the only ones who can keep that place going.

Do you have a sign on your head or tool box that says I attract idiots and dopers?
I would take the trailer but I still have next week to work if they don't tell me to hit the road. I would still have to come home and get my uniforms to turn in so it would be a round trip anyway. I still have a vacation day and a sick day that I would like to try and use Thursday and Friday next week. I submitted all the hiring paperwork last night so I can start on Monday at Ag-Pro if I need to. Sometimes it is a lot easier being the worker than the boss. The stress and work level will be very low because it will be a new store and I don't see it getting crazy busy like Yancey gets.
Jacob ,
Getting out on your own does sound like the best option. It makes you wonder how business stay afloat doing crazy stuff and nutty workers.

You have done your time as a stress magnet. Do what you like till you decided to kickback and do what you want to. Remember your terminal leave days

my task for today clean the trees I dropped 2 weeks ago. Get what logs I can, some firewood and pile the rest for burn. These are some that were in the way of the fence . More practice logs to learn the mill
What a yucky day outside. We are going to a monster truck show this afternoon in town at the colosseum. Little man is going to love it and the tickets are very affordable. Decided to take my last sick day on Thursday and my last vacation day on Friday. I will load up my tool box Wednesday afternoon and take in Thursday to my new job. My best buddy at work asked me what I was going to be working on, liked it and contacted the manager and is trying to get a job with me!

Enjoy the show. Get down in the pits if you can. Cool your b7ddy wan5s to go with you.
my neighbor(land) helped me split the tractor today. I had the front half blocked and most of the stuff over the transmission off by time he got home from hunting. It at his shop. We are doing it outside under cover and on concrete. The rain got bad we went in the shop till it quit. If we had to do the clutch we would had to drop the FEL.
We found one gear broke brass gears stripped and a snap ring off . Taking tge forward / reverse shaft , the F/R shifter , detent ball and spring, shifter fork to the dealer in Gainsville for warranty.
Stephen, Hope you had a great time at show.
Hugh, they aught to pay you labor. You did all the hard work!
they were stupid on transportration 3.00/ loaded mile . If the 250 was running it would have been a 2 hour pull. It was not that bad. My neighbor said the hard part will be putting it back together. Getting everything to line up. Just hope NC has the parts, if not they come from Korea
Everyone had a great time. We paid extra to go in the pits before the show and little man was in heaven! He also paid extra and took a ride in a monster truck and he was so excited. I was rocking him back to sleep at a little while ago and he was still talking about the orange monster truck with big tires that we rode in! The forum in Rome is not that big so they only had 4 big trucks and it was not exactly like you see on TV but it was fun.
The wife finally confessed last night that she was hoping I would go with the new job. She knew Yancey would try hard to keep me but she really wanted me to be closer to home and maybe not have to work so hard. She would have been fine with either decision because I'm the one going to work but was delighted when I decided to go with Ag-Pro. I will be training in Cartersville till our store opens in December but that's a 45 minute drive compared to an hour and a half. The shorter commute and then the time change will have me messed up for 3 or 4 weeks till my internal clock adjusts.
We can give you a good deal to upgrade to a John Deere tractor!!
