its a shame they cut corners on such high price vehicles. for 60k you should get chromoly axle shafts and ball joints plus premium shocks. maybe the problem is the city slickers would rather have fancy leather seats and 6cameras than a solid running gear.

That is a great question... ??

Probably just changing out the same parts hoping for a quick 36,000 miles!

That said, I do have a lewis built trackbar - so this holds the front end lateral movement together much better IMO and I feel this is a big contributor to the better front end feel. I also feel (as stated above) after market shocks help with high speed bounce/jounce and control the up/down movement- together controlling lateral and up/down much better than stock.

Overall it improved significantly after leveling with shocks using stock stabilizer - adding the Fox ATS further improved everything (what little if any bump steer I had left is now virtually gone).

While not the news/opinion anyone wants to hear after you spend 60K on a truck - but we have solid front axles and its the nature of the beast.
Do you guys think these 'upgrades' would go far in preventing DW from happening and overall improvement of steering and stability. I'd end up with 35s on stock suspension.

Fox ATS Steering Stabilizer (8 - 10 weeks out).
Fox 2.0 Remote Reservoir (stock height), non-adjustable, but tuned and re-buildable.
LT285/75R18129\126SEBLK7.5 - 4080 LOAD on stock wheels
Is there a quality aftermarket trackbar that will bolt up without mods? Some have to grind with the Carli TB. Are drop brackets required or is there a good TB that doesn't require drop brackets? Or are brackets only required with a level/lift kit?

I do not want to change front or rear springs or affect towing or payload capability or bed rail clearance for the 5th Wheel. I like and don't mind adding air bags but not to offset another change I've made.
F350 CCLB Plow Prep/Camper Prep/5th Wheel Prep/FX4. 5900# front springs. No plowing, no off-road.

I really like the stance of your truck but am also fine with the stock look/rake. If ride quality is improved that's a bonus. I have no issue with ride quality as is.
I have 100k mi. Bumper/bumper Warranty but I certainly don't want repeated trips to the dealer for shotgun parts trying to fix DW piecemeal fashion like some have experienced (if I ever get it). I'd rather spend money preventing the issue from the get-go. It's not about the Warranty, it's about reliability.

Recommendations are welcome. Real world experience even more so.

Thanks!

Looks like a good setup. I went with Lewis built adjustable track bar, no drop needed - easy bolt in (just have a torque wrench that can handle 400 ft/lb+). I would call Chirs @ Lewis to confirm it works and has adjustability to work on stock height.

BTW - raising my front and not touching my rear lowered the rear slightly - think lever - front up, rear down. So i gained slight bed clearance for 5th. not much, but just know raising the front wont affect your rear height (i.e. wont raise it) and its rear payload. This is why I only did shocks in the rear. I use my truck to tow.

Other benefit is stock location - easy bolt it.

I can't seem to view the results of this poll. Has anyone in a DRW reported having death wobble?

That's them. I also have their radius arms - I have no affiliation with them. They just have a good rep for building quality stuff that doesn't break.

Is this your truck Wicked? And are you the the one who picked and chose components rather than a complete kit from one vendor?
I might go with a similar 2.5" setup if 35s won't look stupid. But then I'd be changing front springs.... sheesh.

Oh yeah! Gotta say, I like that. Mine's same in stock form and in Ruby Red thank you very much.
I don't see where that setup with OEM wheels and 285/75-18 @ 34.8 would look terrible.. might leave room for snow chains..lol. Did you go with 17s for Load, cost, sidewall, or tire selection?
You must be old to have that much sidewall.. I have a 30ish buddy trying to get me to take his MOTO 20s.. ain't happening.

Got an email in to Lewis.
You could PM the prices??

Appreciate the help.

I would still be able to run chains in the rear. Front would be tight at the bumper - I would probably need to put spacers on the bumper (.75")

Went with 17's for sidewall. More sidewall, more comfy ride and better offroad (I do take my truck to hunt/fish and like to air down a little), I may be older but all my trucks since my late teens had sidewall - never understood these 20's+ setups.

My stock 34.8" looked small on this setup before I put on the 37's. Then when I sent my wife a photo of my 37's on at the tire shop - her first reply, no lie was "they look small". That said once she saw it in person she said they fit perfect. lol

PM sent
