Yes it could be a bad connection with a loose PCM. I didn't correctly tighten the thru firewall bolt and my truck did exactly your symptoms. To isolate that being the cause. Start the truck and try rocking the pcm. If it flutters or shuts down, you have your answer. If not, start doing the wiggle test under the dash and in the engine bay with it running. No loose clothing and no beer......yet. Watch carefully for moving engine parts. Safety first!!!!!

I had my brother press the pcm forward and hold it. Than I went to tighten the 10mm under the hood it felt tight already. I went about 1-2 turns and the unit does not move anymore. No issues since; going to take a week of driving for me to feel this is the solution.
