I guess when I have some time I will dig into it and report back if I find a fix.

The support person a few years back when there was a bad rash of poorly formatted ads running on FTE.

Our ad protocol has been revamped at least twice or three times over in that time, and if they're the ones blocking a functional part of the site.....

Just whitelist this site in AdBlock. Do the problems go away?

Don't have to whitelist any thing. Just turn the tool off and it works.
I have not had the time to look and see if I can allow that one item to work or not.

Why don't you just whitelist this entire site?

Maybe it was suggested, but simply adding an empty space below the black bar command line, or simply increase the size of the drop-down "Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forum" navigation bar so that there is just more space above the forum names and below the black bar.

Sorry if it was already suggested long ago, but seems that making the drop down navigation commands just drop farther down so you don't have to put the cursor so close to the black box commands would be helpful.

The wheel was invented long millenia ago - and this current format is someone trying to reinvet it and adding a new design mousetrap when everything worked just fine and followed virtually every other forum's format - that works. I only post now if I have a truck question, seldom just for conversation as I did in the past, old style arrangement.

No, I will NOT get over my angst

I have two problems that I can't figure out:

1. There are a few threads that when they go to a second page I can't get to that page. I can try using the page links at the bottom to get to page two but it always goes to page one. Any email notification of new posts will cause my browser to go to the first post on page one, instead of the most recent post on page two. This happens with Chrome. I haven't played with the settings. The thread display mode is oldest first. The number of posts per page is 30. Infinite scroll is disabled. If I quote any post from the first page then I can see the page two posts. But this is a clunky way to see the posts. I believe that when the number of posts is enough to need three pages I can get to any of the three pages OK. The problem is only when there are two pages in the thread. When I use the same URL in IE (without logging in) I can see all pages. So I think this is likely a Chrome problem.

2. When I paste text into the editor, highlight the text and hit the quote button, the results aren't right. Often, the beginning tag [_QUOTE_] isn't located at the beginning of the highlighted text. Instead, it's somewhere in the middle. Sometimes I've seen the begin tag located after the end tag. This is not consistent. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Change your settings to the max number of pages and also turn ON the Infinite scroll . I think you will like it much better.

I had infinite scroll on when it first came out and didn't like it. I'll try increasing the number of posts per page.

Changing to 40 posts per page now makes it so I can't get to page 3 of a certain thread. I'll give the infinite scroll a try now.
