But the most annoying issue (the black bar) is ignored.

He's not asking to make it go away. He's complaining because previously, there was a slight delay before the drop down menu's activated, when the cursor is placed on the black toolbar, over one of the links. Now it instantly activates, filling the computer screen and can be a pain in the tush to get it to clear.
He's just asking for the delay to be put back. I second his motion, the non-delay is annoying.

I went back to page 1 of the thread and reviewed snowseeker's write-up. I would put this down as moderately annoying. Like he said, trying to scroll down past the drop down to user cp, the dropdown always comes up and you can't get to user cp. If instead of moving the mouse straight down, you use and arc to bypass that specific drop down, you can get to the user cp link OK. Maybe it's more onerous in browsers other than Chrome. As suggested in the posts above, a small delay would help.

While we are picking on things. (not you) The share link in the albums is not working. (I just checked it again).
You click on it and noting happens.
Also having a slight delay with the menu dropping down would be a good idea. With small screens when it comes
to people that like to use full site and not the mobil one it's can be a problem to sneak up the side some times. If they
add in 2000 milliseconds delay that would be ideal.
EDIT: I do have a positive thing to say . I see they fixed the font type display. Now when you change the font by hand
you get the one you set in the text and not all the commands to set it. Would be nice to get a font picker tool back but this I can work with,

What browser are you seeing this problem in? It works just fine for me.

There was never an intentional delay written into the navigation bar dropdown--it most likely had to do with our site speeds (which is one thing that gets constantly improved even in the smallest of updates).
2,000 milliseconds I'm sure is a typo, a 2 second delay on a hover-state dropdown menu would be considered an unacceptable bug.
And as for people using the full desktop sites on their phones, we can't prevent you from doing that--but we cannot cater to those needs. We make sure that aspects of the desktop format still work on a phone, but catering specifically to the tiny subset of users using the full site on a phone is not something we can support or prioritize. Google demands sites to have a mobile-friendly template for phones as a majority of web traffic skews towards mobile devices (our network's mobile to desktop split is right around 52/48, slightly below average), and specifically penalizes websites that don't have a fully fleshed out mobile site.

We removed support for the font picker because it's apparently basically impossible to display different fonts correctly across the thousands of different devices and browsers these days.

Mac OS Safari. I just tested with Firefox and it does work there.
I just found what the issue is.
Adblock. The funny thing is both were playing well together.
I will have to spend a little time and see if I can tweak some settings.

for what it's worth we don't lump any functional parts of our website together with ads, so it does seem like your ad blocker might be a little aggressive...
