Very sad news. We found out that the 16 year old Boy Scout that died this weekend after falling trying to scale a steep incline is the son of the owners of a farm market close to our house. They are wonderful people and we stop there often for fresh produce. One of our family friends from church was along on the trip and helped do CPR for three hours before rescue crews arrived.
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
Sorry to hear Evan. Where did this happen at?
Never mind, found it. Rosemary Lakes North of Odell along the Pacific Crest Trail. The lakes are about 3 to 5 miles in off of Hwy 58 (Willamette Pass). Been there a couple of time and also ridden horses up there many years ago. Some very steep mountain sides up there. Such a tragedy. Please relay my condolences to his parents and siblings. Having lost a brother myself in our teenage years, I know what the family must be going through and wish them the very best.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Just getting back home. Got the camper ready to go into the repair shop in the morning and get the combat damage from the squirrels repaired. Perhaps I should talk to Jerry about an up armor job.
How about a layer of aluminum diamond plate on top of everything?
That would definitely work, but...would not be helpful to the vents, A/C, refer vent & exhaust nor the translucent skylights. I was kind of leaning towards ballistic Lexan...
Working, and go home and work. Have a few week off next month. Have surgery first, so that 's not fun but then will be in Las Vegas for a week (yearly trip). Have ticket to see David Copperfield who I saw in Honolulu in 1978 or 79 when he was just starting out.
