Morning all. Week is almost over. "Last" weekend of the summer and plan on fishing the CR a couple days. My favorite time of year is almost here. Used to always take the week of Labor Day off and fish every day. I commuted to the river and everyone else commuted to work and school! Those were the days!
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Heading out to pull the relay solenoid on the boat and get a replacement...
Getting ready for a couple of more weeks at Diamond Lake. May take a day or two to jump Mt. Thielson and go to Miller.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Went to Chan's for Chinese tonight. That was after I had to hunt all over Mac for a 1/4-28 Wing nut.
I hear ya......I went to three different places looking for three different sizes of key stock.......found one each at the first two places.....the third place didn't know what I was talking about...........I just gave up.......
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 58.5 with a solid overcast. Supposed to break up later this afternoon

I could find the 1/4-20's all over the place. Darned near tripped over them. Finally found that Lowe's did have 1/4-28 wing nuts, but only in stainless steel. Of course, those are $2.00 more expensive than the standard wing nuts. I was just about ready to come home and rethread the stud. This was for the flame arrester and cover/shield over the top of the carb and fuel lines on the boat. So, going through an OSMB or a Coast Guard inspection without it in place is not really a wise option.
The silly thing is, the end that screws into the carb is 1/4-20. It's the end with the hold down nut that is 1/4-20. I really don't know why GM couldn't have had thread specs that would be the same on both ends.
