Took 7 of 13 boy scouts and their gear to Bay Ocean Spit for a backpacking overnighter to the tip of the peninsula last Friday. Moved down the coast to Camp Meriwether Saturday for a service project re-building camp sites and another overnighter. And, the standard stop at DQ on the way home Sunday.
I noticed on the drive, my Ex has particularly loud road noise this trip. Too much tire sing. I run BFG A/T KO2s. They aren't (weren't) noisy, but it appears my front end is too loose and alingment off enough that the front tires have feathered quite noticably on the inner edge of the tread. I typically don't notice noise on the trips to work and around town as I am not cruising at highway speeds.
Not looking forward to $1000.00 in front end repairs, and a soon to follow $1000.00 in tires! Oh, well, a chance to downgrade to a more suitable, less aggessive tire. I just might save a bit in the mileage department since I am on the road more than the trail.
A little messy, might get 'er washed today.
Hammocks galore. 8 total this trip.
ONLY three trailers full of material came out of the sites. Its good we had bodies! 27 people for 6 hours!
