I have a 2000 F250 7.3 superduty long bed 2wd with 160200 miles completely stock nothing has been done to it. It is shifting hard from 2-3 has a new Trans filter and fluid didn't help. I checked the shifter cable it is not loose at all, checked throttle position sensor seems to be working right, checked the idle switch behind it it is working, anyone have any ideas? Putting around town its really not that bad but if I have to give it any gas at all it seems to stall close to 2k rpm then will slam into gear so hard it barks the tires regardless of the speed. Im out of ideas help would be greatly appreciated thanks for your time.
I can't help you with your problem but someone who can should along soon. I can tell you that it slamming into gear like that will likely drop it out the bottom of the truck before long.
Ok I went back and double checked the tps and ivs are both working correctly and all valve body bolts are tight and springs are not broke or collapsed shift cable is tight and not stretched nss on Trans is tight clean and working correctly still can not figure out the hard shift
