Boight my 06 back in June of this year. Drove perfectly and all was right in the world. About a week or two in i was throwing codes for injectors on the passenger side and truck wouldn’t even start anymore. New FICM from Ed with the 100hp Power Hungry tune, new FORD injector harness, new Warren Diesel 155/30 injectors, SCT tuner with custom tunes (previous custom tunes plus custom Warren Diesel tunes not yet loaded), Edge CTS2 monitor, new batteries, Warren Diesel high flow standpipes (they were only like $30 more than OEM).

Had a shop that said they knew 6.0s do the work and was told a week but that stretched out to 4 months because of issues with both parts and techs working on the truck that have no idea what’s going on. Was quoted $850 for the job, and when I went to pick it up they said $1750. Ended up paying $525 after an hour of talking to the owner. So after all that I get the truck back. Everything should be back to being all right in the world. Well it’s not sadly, and here are my issues:

Truck runs rough. It has a lope in the idle like I have a mild cam in it. At 55mph it gets an INSANE death shake to it, enough to shake a half full can of Coke (not drugs!!!) out of the holder in the center console. If I give it more throttle it’ll shift down and no rattle. Had a CEL when I picked it up, but I ignored it at the time. It’s been a few days since I picked it up now and I’ve driven it about 3 times.

Well I pulled the codes just now and I’ve got P0279 (cylinder 7 injector circuit low) and P0671 (cylinder 1 glow plug circuit).
Now when I first got it back I assumed (I know, I know) that it just needed the custom tune from Warren Diesel to compensate for the larger injectors. I have to have a windows computer to do it and our household is an Apple family. Bought a laptop online and it runs the chrome OS and it’s apparently not the same as windows so that was a no-go. I only have one friend local with a windows laptop and I’ll be loading the tunes in about 2 hours. Besides that, what else should I do to try to get this truck running correctly?
Some food for thought, you lost injectors on the passenger side, this was likely due to low fuel pressure, so you installed new larger injectors and added a tune. This combination will put even more demand on a fuel pump/ system that wasn't able to keep up with stock parts and tune. The 6.0 will run on next to no fuel pressure so you wouldn't be aware this was a problem until you start losing injectors. Another problem is not going with OEM remanufactured injectors. You need to verify the dynamic fuel pressure, fuel pressure while driving at wide open throttle and it needs to be greater than 45 PSI at all times.

I should also add, that the 100hp FICM tune is probably not doing you any favors either. There are in fact two versions of PHP FICM tunes: Stock and 30% and larger FICM strategies.

I'm sure if you ran either the Atlas 40 or even a stock FICM, the injectors would behave themselves some.

The Atlas 40 makes the injectors dance......I would like to see the injectors with a 100 HP on a scope....

Have you ever ran a scope on injectors?

It would also be interesting to do it with a current probe.

It's really not that hard to run a scope on the injectors. The issue would be can they stand the loading from the
oscilloscope probe for the voltage trace but most probes do have good isolation but your never get 100% you do get
some loading of the circuit under test. Then for a current trace you need an expensive probe that has some of it's
own electronics in it. It can be a bit of $ for the current probe. I wished I had one. But I don't and still will need
to make a breakout box just to do the basic stuff.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Happy New Year 2018 is Nearly here
