Pulling my 7000# TT today over Vail Pass in Colorado. By this time in the day, I had already towed 5 hours and was on the last day of a 2500 mile trip. As I began to start the climb, my Edge (not in performance/tow mode, just using guages) began flashing codes.
At the same time the Edge flashed the codes, the engine light came on in the dash.
I immediatly slowed down and pulled over. Truck ran fine. Seemed to have sufficient power. I turned it off and let it sit for 10 minutes, then started it right up and kept going. Edge threw me the same codes again.
Given that I was 100 miles from home with trailer and kids, I just kept going. Truck ran great. No problems at all. Made it home with no incident but the engine light was still on.
Can someone help me understand the meaning of these codes?
YUP. It means your FICM is about to bite the dust. You would be well advised to get your FICM replaced at your nearest dealer (first thing in the morning preferably) without delay, before it leaves you stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.
