As my wife was deleting evergreen branches and arranging them for her outdoor decorations I was raking leaves, yes I know it is December... we have a wisteria vine growing on a fence that loses it leaves very late, and deleting them from our yard.
I don't know how it grows up there, but down here Wisteria Vine makes pretty good lashing connections. We use it for wilderness survival training.
We have a chain link fence between us and our neighbor about 60 feet long. It had those green plastic strips woven in the chain links to provide privacy when we first moved in. The plastic became brittle and the strips would tear. So the neighbor lady took them out and planted four wisteria along the fence.
It grows like crazy. Innate to trim it about 3 or 4 times each summer. If I didn't they would grow all over our trees and take over the yard. But they do provide privacy and some shade.
