I do like the balloon idea - just worried about controlling the DRIFT while I'm trying to put up my Christmas lights
I don't smoke, so I could go hydrogen, or even hot air (you may have noticed it could be self powered!)... BUT, the control (or lack thereof)...
Anybody come up with an app controlled drone to hang Xmas lights yet?? Anybody??! Sean, you must certainly have a patent in the works on this, come clean with us buddy!!!

You don'y have to worry about drift if you do the extension cords right so they
stay plugged into each other. How ever you might want to file a flight plan with
the FAA. They do tens to get a bit upset with lawn chair flights. But I guess the
light string might count as navigation lights.
Oh yes. Use to go quite frequently to the DRMO to receive and transport items. Been in the hangars 1 5 6. This was all in the 90's.
I also had a friend that worked there on the catapult system. He then was transferred to another location so I haven't seen him or his wife in over a decade.
I do and mine was was 6.9 back in January when I had a test done. What are seeing for pH?
I'm right in there too -- I'd need to run a sample in to town to get an exact number, but when I last did it was only slightly low like 6.8. I'm using a pool test kit and according to it it is 6.8 or lower (there's no color bar beyond yellow and the water off the well direct is very yellow).
Just going off the same tester, my inside house water had maybe got down to 7? Cheap copper used by original builder and that is enough to start seeing green in the fixtures...
So back to the balloons: what sort of brakes do you use - AIR brakes??!
Scott with some of the larger pool test kits they come with a set of
bottles for adjusting the PH in the sample vile and I will tell you that
you can hit really close to what it really is.
Fun Fact. WHen counting out drops hole the bottle straight up and down.
So that the drop is forming cleanly on the tip of the bottle. It makes a difference.
Way too many different jobs over the years for me.

Thanks Sean - that is how I do the drops. I have a bunch of bottles, need to go read the directions on if any of them will make the test more precise. Mainly I need to know when the Calcite is getting low - so anything below 7 is time for a recharge...
