I believe my neighbor bought it from somewhere in PA. When he picked it up it was still setup with the compressor and controls all attached. A guy came and helped him tear it down and supply the parts needed to fire it up. Since then I been helping my neighbor a bit to clean and rebuild it.
I know the guy that came to tear it down and supply parts builds a bunch of these and I believe he was the one that supplied Jay Leno the turbine for his bike. The name Seth sounds right but I am not entirely sure. I know he is coming back next weekend to help fire it.
I mainly been cheap labor as I know next to nothing about this stuff. It’s been an aweasome learning experience though. In general I love anything mechanical no matter what it is and enjoy learning as much as I can so I was happy to help whenever he needed it.
Took her last ride today. No, not ol' Blue, the red rust bucket. Payout= $136 in scrap. I don't know how it still weighed 2260#. I made out on that deal. During loading the midship tank was dripping.....alot. Luckily it was only homebrew B100. It left a nice fragrance out front.
While I was out replenishing the Calcite for our well filter system, a commercial flight went by off to the North -- looked to be on final going into Sacramento Airport. I'm pretty sure it sounded like it was jet engine powered...
Do any of you live near airports? Do any of you live off well water? How's the pH of your water?
Pete: that truck looked like it still had good parts! Hey the front window was still in place - glue would fix it if it had a crack or two....
Where were we? Oh yeah, well water was the topic I think...

d d,
The windshield had no cracks but had water intrusion between laminates. That fender wasn't bad, just the lip and under the battery tray some. I just can't store parts anymore, especially for a truck that I no longer own. I do miss the old dually though.
I live near an airport but lucky enough to not be in the commercial flight path. I do get the military/ gov. planes overhead though but not all the time.
I had well water here but it tested high for a pollutant that I think was used in either fertilizer or insecticide used by farmers back in the day or something like that. Think it began with a P. I can't remember, probably from the chemical attacking the brain!

You know Pete, Jack is a bit of a farmer, raising Christmas Trees and all... I think I might put up the lights on the house this year, how about you guys?
Scott
Love Xmas. Stopped with the lights on the exterior years ago. It just doesn't feel right on a ladder anymore. If I had a manlift maybe I'd do it.
Who's watching World Series? Anyone?
Could be phosphate orpotassium. There’s ton of stuff from farms including a lot of old insecticides and fungicides.
The real problem is buying a home on an old chicken farm as I understand it. And there used to be a lot of chicken farms after WW2, supported by Govt funds for soldiers, and wiped out by Govt feed that wasn’t so good.
