Taking off on a trip in a few so no time for pictures of current "other" rides besides 6.0, but here's a list (and we name all our everything):

Of course 2000 Expy in sig line (Eddy)
2004 TJ Rubicon, mostly stock (Rich - after original owner that passed away)
2003 Honda S2000, all stock other than spec race tires, some folks just need a lesson.
1996 Toyota Tacoma (DLT or Dad's Little Truck), Dad can't drive anymore.
2013 Mercedes E550 Sedan (Benny-is-a-Jet, or Benny), yes 4.1 sec 0-60 in a 4500lb AWD...
2003 Itasca Horizon 32TD (Mad Max - we bought him in a town by Burning Man, thought it was appropriate), just under 33 ft, 5.9 with Allison 3000 and 36K GCWR

Oh and a couple bikes:
2004 Honda Aero 750 (Blue)
2004 Yamaha FJR 1300 (Feej)

And assorted Ranch vehicles, some that do get off the property...

Catch y'all in a couple days...

Scott

Got more .....

And weather is not stopping people. Our son is helping this year or I’d be laying on the ground right now. Outsold last years total at this point, but what’s out is going to be all, two years ago sold out by the 15th, last year 12th, and maybe 10th this year, if my dates are right.

And no wonder -- your trees are absolutely fabulous, Jack!

Thanks Scott.

This year it’s Douglas Fir, Concolor Fir and Turkish Fir. Good Frasers got wiped from the last two years of sales, need them to bulk up and maybe Canaan will fill in some next year if they’re ready. I’ve had repeat customers walk away because I’m not cutting Frasers this year, but I actually like the Turks better then the Frasers. Some customers like them better too. It’s a really full tree with good green.

It's too bad that the snow won't stay on the trees once
you start to move them into the house. I don't like flocked
trees but a light dusting of real snow is nice in my book.

They were covered white when we closed the gates tonight. Todd and I were freezing and wet. Tomorrow AM the Stihl BR600 comes out to clear the trees. While it looks nice, it’s hard for people to judge the trees with the branches down. Some people want really full, others want slightly open. I see any branch openings as an opportunity for ornaments. The balsam was a popular tree in our childhood because it had a lot of opportunities.

We were so cold I didn’t care to pump out the watering pots. We’ll see how bad a move that was in the morning. Just popsicles or split pots.

I can't believe I was letting my family drive the Durango with the brakes in such bad shape. The right front inner pads lining fell off and was paper thin and it was missing a caliper bolt, fortunately Auto Zone had the bolts in stock.

Speaking of Auto Zone, the guy in front of me told the store guy that he needed his codes checked, he had a Service Engine Soon light on. The counter guy said it needed an oil change because it wasn't a Check Engine Light. They did test it and it was low coolant temp code. The counter guy said he had never heard of it before and sent him away. Duh, thermostat or ECT sensor?!?!

If they were mechanics they wouldn't be there. I wouldn't expect the cashier at the food store to know how to bake a cake either.

True. But you would think a store selling auto parts and performing OBDII scan test, battery replacements, wiper and bulb replacements would want people that know something about cars.

What I've seen, the guys and girls that DO excel and actually know something, end up working the commercial accounts counter.
Maybe I'm the opposite, but when I walk in I know what I need and I don't want someone guessing and trying to tell me what I need. Plus if they recommend a part and it doesn't repair the problem, what do you think would happen? An unhappy customer returning pissed off complaining the cashier sold them the wrong part.
This is just my opinion. I'd be fine if they had self checkout to avoid the chit chat. One nice thing about internet ordering and picking up in the store. Chit chat to a minimum.
Holy smokes, don't take that as a rant.

I always go in the store knowing what I want, have the old part with me or order it online. I feel sorry for the person that is not knowledgeable, or just looking for help because they are trying to save money. If the store is going to offer services they need to hire for those services.

We are all car guys here, we know what works and what doesn't on vehicles. When I go into a store outside of my comfort level I am putting trust into the employee helping me.

I see the point you guys are making. If I needed to buy a tuxedo on my own I'd be screwed and would hope they know what I need.
