I agree about the air

Difference? It's been about 4 months and this is an economy tune, so had to say. The throttle seems touchy, but that could be because of the bad idle at the moment and transitioning to smoother running giving a sudden burst of power from the tune + efficient running. I'll watch this and see.

I am used to seeing much higher ICP with the old injectors and with the GH tunes (spirited usually). These are supposed to use "less oil" but I'm not sure if they should also use "lower pressure oil"???

The FIPW seems all over the place to me, but that is also consistent with air in the system. It might be simply reacting to the air-induced sputters???

I have some learning to do here

I don't want to do too much or judge too harshly until the air is done and she is running properly. Then we'll see

One thing I did notice...there is a whole new "top third" of my throttle. Where she would usually stay on her acceleration and power curve, she now "kicks in the power band" so to speak, with a range I didn't have before with the smaller splitshots.

I'll bet this is the extra bit I get from the 'more fuel and faster' nature of these new 160/80 single shots.

The slow come-on of the turbo boost psi doesn't seem to hurt her, but not exactly 'adrenaline and fire' I wanted...but again..."Economy Tune" LOL.

I also did not do a boost leak test before assembly. Short time, excited and impatient owner/driver trying to get back behind the wheel

Have you considered trying hooking up to the tt and going for an uphill cruise?

The FIPW is in line with lower ICP. I run higher ICP and lower FIPW, but that's all about lower EGTs. I also have slightly larger nozzles, so I can't compare directly. Since you've put some miles on it, it's OK to do a KOER to get more of the air out - just remember it's going to sound really freaky at some point.

Rich, are you saying that since he has some miles on it, he would be OK to leave it running in an idle state (KOER) for a while or are you suggesting something else?

Doing a KOER jacks up the ICP at idle during one point. A KOER immediately after draining the oil rails is not recommended by the book, but once most of the air is out - it's a shortcut to work more air out without the need to drive the truck. This is the method I use if I don't want to put the valve covers back on before I hear how the engine will run with the air out.

Still 6" snow on top of it. It's about 34ft long and roads aren't great (sloppy). I would like to take it on a trip sometime, but it's not really convenient to just hook it up and pull. I also don't have a tow tune yet.

I appreciate the idea, though
