Has anyone tried silicone spray on the door seals? The driver's side door of my Nissan would squeak every few months and just a light coating of spray would take care of it.

While admittedly I'm not that well-versed on the SD, there should be some way to adjust the door to make it close "tighter" into the frame, either with the hinges, and/or the latch/striker. This isn't a wholly unheard of problem (in addition to problematic wind noise) and dealers should be willing and able to correct.

My truck has had the "rattle" noise in both front doors, I have found if you just crack the window down 1/4" it almost goes completely away, I beleive it is in the door panel.

Though sometimes after a tough day I enjoy the dead quiet of 80mph with windows up, AC on and no tunes.
The squeek or cracking window 1/4" will seriously compromise my 'happy place'.... lol.

Oh you dont roll it down enough to get wind, just a touch of the botton to take tension off the window, however I agree, this shouldnt be an issue to begin with. Seems mine only does it on rough roads, bumps, nor can i get it to mimic the sound when its in the garage. Im 90% sure mine is in the door panels.

The squeak is still there with the window cracked just a touch like you recommend. The only thing that I have figured out to stop the squeak is to pull on the door handle really hard while going over the bumps and squeaking sound stops...let go of the door handle and the squeaking is back. I haven't had it to the dealer yet....

Where in the SF Bay area did you find that you could afford to do 80mph?

Obviously it must have been at about 0330!

Again, this tells me that an adjustment to the door latch "system" that causes the door to close more tightly will cure the squeaking.

Something like this:

i think the issue lies with the door seals and weather stripping not being big enough or rigid enough the make a good seal. My door doesn't squeak, but at times does rattle. If i pull on the door it stops. I have a adjusted the hinges and the striker, but it is a very tedious job. If you adjust too much, the door gets out of alignment. Push the striker in too much, and the gap doesn't line up at the b-pillar and there is more wind noise.

I like the video above. I wonder if it is possible to do the same mod EPICCOWLICK posted a video about the older SD trucks. I think the seals just need to be thicker and firmer

First, let's be clear here, mine is not a "squeak" it is more of a rattle, the window adjustment doesnt eliminate mine but cuts it down 75%, I can hold the door handle and stop it, you can also push down on the door panel and stop it. I get a little wind noise which I dont like but its not bad. Both of these methods apply or releive tension on the door panel to window seal. I dont feel like its door adjustment, just the door panel itself is loose or possibly the window track. Are we talking about the same "noise"?

How cow. 1200 miles, 1 month, and now I have a drivers door rattle as of this morning. Sounds like a little tick tick tick whenever I hit a bump. I thumped the door a few times at home, and I could hear a faint rattle. Must be the door panel or window track as mentioned. Really don't want to have to tear into the door, while it is faint, it is the only freaking noise the truck makes, so it is super apparently and annoying. Odd thing is that it sometimes will stop, then come back.

Has anyone figured out this squeak? Is it weather stripping squeak or is it a door latch adjustment?

Took it to the dealer. They called ford to find out if there is any fix but in the mean time they greased the door latch and the squeak has gone away....for now.

I'm glad I'm not alone.. 2017 f250 lariat w 1400 miles.. First noticed the squeak going on a bumpy dirt road.. Ever since then when I hit uneven paved road or a bump I hear the squeak in my driver door.. Rattle/squeak.. It's more a squeak.. I've sprayed the weather striping down w armor all first n no go.. Then wd40.. No go I then put petroleum grease on it.. Didn't help.. I hate to take in my truck just for the squeak .. such a hassle since they have to trouble shoot it.. N prob not able to find the problem n tell me it's normal.
