I ordered the overdrive transmission today and all the other little things that are required, will still need to measure up for another drive shaft but in the meantime putting the C-6 back in so I can drive it..

How long before you receive the new tranny?

There are two performance transmission builders in Illinois. One in Clinton and Bowler in Lawrenceville.

I hope this solves your problem. Were you able to pressure check the cooling system before reinstalling the tranny?

Yes I did that but the transmission was pulled for nothing after a seen there was no plugs to leak back there, in fact all the frost plugs are dry. It was the water pump that was leaking and the coolant following the oil pan gasket to the bell housing. Once I finish up installing everything I'll remove the alternator bracket to pull the bolt out of the pump and put more thread dope on and reinstall...

I sure am glad that you found the leak. Seems simple enough to fix.

It was a lot of work for a simple thing but do know that the transmission will come out without too much trouble, the exhaust was the worse part and I have to put that back in tomorrow. Then I get to do it all again in a couple weeks and order a new drive shaft..
