Based on carli leveling kit...

Who has had luck doing 37x12.5x20? Is trimming really needed? Would it be better to just go with 35x12.5x20? I plan to use aftermarket 10” wide wheels with the offset to match as closely as possibly the stock placement of wheels (so they don’t stick out super far)

Grab a track bar and radius arms with the leveling kit and stick to a 9" wide wheel and 5.5" backspacing and you'll be golden; may not need to trim at all. If you go 10" or 5" backspace the radius arms won't be needed but you'll need to trim.

Too narrow, that tire will require too much inflation pressure to avoid buckling the sidewall. I like a 35x12.5 and 37x13.5. A 37x12.5" is borderline but still needs around 45-50pis to maintain sidewall integrity.

I did the Carli Backcountry and am very happy. I ended up going with the add a pac as I thought I would be towing a lot. That isn't the case now, I am going to go full Deavers, if anyone wants the add a pack, give me a shout and lets work something out. I am in DFW, Texas. Only been on the truck 1,000 miles.

I have both 17 F-350 and 17 Raptor. The Raptor is incredible off-road and very smooth. I'm in the dirt and 4wd everyday and prefer the Raptor. My F-350 is all stock though except for the 295 Ridge Grapplers. I've had all the KORE, Lorenz, Thuren, Carli, etc. Every single one does ride stiffer than a stock truck, especially on pavement. The word everybody will use to describe these kits is "progressive" and the faster you go the smoother it feels. The reality is 99% of people that use their trucks off-road are are at slower speeds such as hunting, construction, farming/ranching, etc. The Raptor shines in these environments I can attest to that with 100k+ miles on Raptors. I do love my 17 F-350 though and I feel for a heavy diesel it is very capable off-road, but I bought it for towing which it does much better than the 16 Duramax it replaced.
