Well guys I have my zf up for trades and I have a guy interested but here's my question what all small upgrades should I do besides completely rebuilding it like shift kit torque converter I already have a 6.0 tranny cooler for it let me know what u guys think and suggest I am on a budget though pretty tight on
Get a triple disk torque convertor and with your 6.0 you should be good to go. I use Schaeffers All Trans fluid, I figure if the top trans builders use it, I will also.
Okay finally got someone that supposed to be meeting up with this weekend about possibly trading my zf for a e4od with 140,000 miles was wanting to run pressure test on it any body know what kinda numbers I should be looking for
Well guys I finally found someone to trade my zf for a e4od got to drive his rig all seemed well also trans is supposed to be original with 114,000 miles well he dropped it off last night and picked up my stuff and this is what I was surprised to find definitely cleaner than my original was if I'd half to guess it's been rebuilt possibly
Well guys what kind of trans fluid types are you guys running I've read where some people now say use mercron v then others say it'll cause damage just trying to get a idea of exact type you guys are running thanks in advance
When the trans was designed MERCON was the proper fluid. In 2006 Ford changed MERCON V to be compatible with the E4OD and 4R100 and discontinued MERCON. MERCON is no longer available. MERCON V is the correct fluid.
