The low voltage for the first few minutes is probably due to the computer keeping the glow plugs on. It's programmed to keep them on for a few minutes I think until the oil temperature reaches a certain point. Not sure how the low voltage would affect the reverse though. You shouldn't need glow plugs to start this time of year and as a test you can disconnect the wire to the glow plug relay before you start it and see what happens when you shift into reverse.

Yeah its always had low voltage for few seconds when starting but I’m pretty sure the main culprit is the batteries. Due to I can’t run the radio very long with truck shut off without needing a jump which they are 4 years old. But since I’ve been letting voltage rise before moving truck I’ve not had a single issue and I drive truck everyday. But then again the issues may be completely unrelated. But look like im going to be picking up some new batteries here soon. Plus going over all the electrical connections again.
