At least no chance of white stuff at 12.
Yesterday i took off from base (1310') and climbed up to my destination at 8390 feet. The usual temperature drop means it should have been in the single digit minuses up there, but with the inversion we had i took off from 16 C and landed in 23 C temperatures.
Yes it happens, but not often.
