You wouldn't think a place like Massey would have so many small parts and small nuts and bolts but they had thousands of them and a lot of them were loose in the bins...lol

That was the same with NCR.. And it was done after hours..

Massey usually did on Labor day long weekend and paid good too. This was back in 69 to 72 and we were paid $14 /hr so I didn't mind counting. I would have spent most of my weekends there if I could..lol

It was considering my first job out of school only paid $2.25/hr to start...lol

Too bad they couldn't weight them instead of counting them.

They probably do now Morris but this back at the end of the 60's and beginning of the 70's when I did that..I didn't mind, the pay was excellent..

That's what $160 looks like, 7 ft tall, 700 lbs lots of cutters and reamers plus a new surface planer in a new collett and a new in the box chuck, there's a cleaning tool set also. The first photo is the machinists vice after rebuilding, its about 20 pounds now that 10 pounds of crud has been removed.
