Good morning Shaun, John, Steve,, Perry, Grant and all who lurk here. Have a good day guys!
Busy day yesterday cleaning dead trees, branches and then company in the evening.
It can be interesting. We towed a vehicle yesterday. 5 minutes after the tow truck left teh kid came out to see his jeep was no longer where he parked it.
We occasionally have students come out while they are hooking the cars up. If the tow company we use already has it strapped down then they have to pay a drop fee ( Right around $75 dollars) If they dont want to pay then it goes to the tow companies lot and becomes a $150 dollar tow fee plus any storage depending on how long it stays at the tow company. Still cheaper then what the city charges if they tow a vehicle.
Got my new door way and lock system done today, normally a simple job but I wound up rebuilding the jam and put in a modified sill plate and step, am going to put down some sidewalk stones to make it easier to maintain around the door.
I should put a walk way between the patio and shop door but it would only heave from the frost because I'm always walking on it, in the spring there is about a 4 inch high ridge in the grass until the frost is out of the ground..

What do you impound vehicles for? We did impounds for unpaid parking violations.

Sounds like a small job turned into a big one Perry.

That's a lot of a heave John. I never notice that much around here but it's mostly gravel so hard to tell.

You don't want to park your vehicle in Winnipeg and let the meter run out for a second, you'll be looking for it in a pound on the opposite end of the city...
Being on the high ground helps with avoiding a wet frost so there's no heaving around here.
I made the job a bit harder than normal because of the ductwork that is going in at floor level and I went with a Jimmy proof lock that's set in from the main door jam.
