I`m on a Bobcat job tomorrow and I hope to be done in time for a quick ride since the weather is supposed to turn a bit colder soon. It was 14 C today but with the wind it felt a lot colder.

Spent the day rebuilding the table on the milling machine and tore apart the machinist vice so that I can clean it up and rebuild it. The condition of the table and vice is what scared off all the other bidders and it was well worth it.

Nice score Perry. I wouldn`t know how to run a milling machine since I don`t have one but it would be neat to have.
What the price of gas in Calgary? Here it`s $1.15 to $1.22, diesel is $1.15 to $1.30.

Milling machine is a bit harder to run than a drill press with a movable tabletop, it's a routine to set up that is easy to get used to. There's some fun things that you can do with it plus you can scavenge expensive broken parts and rebuild them for resale .
Petrol was 1.20 a liter for regular the last time I bought gas last week.

I`ve had a fairly large drill press for quite a few yrs, I don`t know how I ever got along without it. How warm was it in Calgary today? It got to about 14 here but the wind was cold.

It ranged from 15 to 18 but I was in the shop all day so I didn't notice the temperature.
This machinists vice is worth over $400 by itself and should clean up and work quite well, I'll take a picture of everything when its done to show what $156 can get you if you know how to spot an auction deal.
