Hello Gerry, Grant and John.
You have a good Friday too Gerry, hope your weather is as nice as ours. It`s only 1°C but feels a lot warmer, the sun is really shinny and the wind is down so a perfect almost spring day here. 11°C tomorrow, the streets are mucky but I`ll take this warm stuff.
It`s already warmer here Gerry, 5°C this morning with a breeze and 9°C this afternoon.
Your rain coat will come in handy today John.
Good luck at the dance completion Colin.
Happy Saturday mornin'all. I got pissed off over all the money I spent on changing tires lately, so I bought a new tire machine. I did some research and found a new one for $1500.00. It showed up at work yesterday. I put it together and tried it out, and it works fantastic. I worked between Firestone, and Goodyear for many years. This is a quality machine for the home shop. No more paying $15.00 for a changeover. Next I may buy a balancer. I never balance tires unless there is a problem. Have a great day guy's.
I've looked at tire changers at the auction but they got to pricey, what kind is it Grant.
Got most of the interior in but I need the truck tomorrow so the seats had to get put back in so that its driveable. New seats sit about an inch or 2 higher which is nice and sure are a lot more comfortable plus the shifter doesn't hit the seat anymore. Made it to about 15 but theres dark clouds and a wind on the way.
We have a manual tire changer at the farm also. I have patches, plugs, valve stems and other stuff for repairing tires that were left over from my FIL's shop. Fixing our own tires has been great as it is a 45 minute drive to a tire shop and you never know how much it will cost.
Next I may buy a balancer. I never balance tires unless there is a problem. Have a great day guy's.
You could get one of those bomb site balancers they sell at Princess Auto, that is what I used when I was a teenager working at the garage at home and they worked well.
