It's a cold -15 for a high, cloudy, shovel snow and haul 15 tv's up the alley kind of day here. Just refinished my sofa table that never sees any wear but it's buggered up anyway, the curse of having a rooming tenant 6 years ago. Took the creep a week to wear out his welcome as he turned a freshly painted room with new furniture into a slum hole. Other than that, it's a wonderful day.
Isn`t paradise supposed to be a bit warmer?
Have a good weekend Gerry, Grant, Perry, Colin, Ian and John.

Good afternoon gents
Went to RONA for a shelf board and picked up a set of snowmobile dollies out of the clearance aisle for $18, may go back tomorrow for the last 2 sets.
I'm picky about my place Morris, been here almost 8 years and the walls look like new, place looks better now than when I moved in. I was in the furniture trade for so long that I want everything in showroom condition, couches are leather, living room is solid maple, bedroom is solid oak. The back room was turned into the cats room and temporary lodging for friends and now is a storage, clean work room that the cats still have access to.
I went from a beater tv in January that hadn't been used in 6 years to 23 tvs in the last 2 days, guessing that electronics may be in my near future. lol

Tom my neighbor has an electronics repair place in the strip mall at the end of the block. I've done a fair amount of work for him, his parents and brothers the past 4 years and have been mowing his parents front lawn just for the sake of doing it plus it makes the street look better when all the lawns are cut on the same day. Anyway the deal is that his customers bring him the tv to be repaired, he tells them whats wrong and they leave him the broken tv and buy a new one from the Chinese speaking guy at BestBuy. Tom breaks down some tvs for the mother boards and sends the guts to the recycler. He only services a small local market so theres only so many tvs that he needs to break down, the rest goes into his garage for storage and he now has a garage full of tvs and 1 car has to park on the street because of it. The following are his words "Chinese don't buy refurbished tvs, only new ones, and rednecks from kijiji only give him a hard time and waste his time". Originally the idea was that I would break them down and put the parts on Ebay, the numbers add up the same way on Ebay as taking stuff to the auction, an $80 gross nets you $50 and you have to wait for the money to actually get into your hands. Plan got changed to me refurbishing the tvs and putting them on kijiji, extra screens get turned into framed synced picture displays that could be big enough for restaurants and lounges or for who ever wants a multi picture display. These are those computerized pictures that change every 6 - 10 seconds. The rest of the tv gets garbaged, metal binned or what ever. It's one of those retirement puttering jobs that you can do indoors and people come to you and throw money at you. Tom is 65 and isn't interested in new things to do besides taking a few vacations a year and babysitting his repair shop. His brothers have the restaurant 3 doors down from him in the same strip mall, which by coincidence they all happen to own. lol
I have to keep busy somehow John and this should boost the pension funds.

It`s warmer everywhere but here Gerry, today was certainly no exception.
Good evening Perry, might be time to check out what else Rona has on clearance.
I'm picky within reason about my rental places, if I wouldn`t live there I don`t expect anyone else either. Most renters are ok or at least moderately ok which I can live live with. As for pets most aren`t the problem, usually it`s the owner.
Great to hear, I`m hoping it`s their turn this yr. How many Ford teams are there?
