Glad you`re ok Steve, I`ve had a few close calls with ladders.
How`s your weather Perry? A cooler day here, starting to feel like fall now.

Its smokey out here and stinks pretty bad, bit on the warm side but we have a wet cool snap coming. Not the nicest of days and some more to follow. Will be picking up supplies for the fence and shed tomorrow.

Good to hear you`re back safe John, how far do you have to travel to go to the doc?
Hardly any smoke here today Perry, I think it`s coming back your way.

The doctors appointment was here in town but had to drive to Thunder Bay for my bone scan which is about 300 miles but because of a serious accident the shut down the Trans Canada I had to back track and detour which doubled the mileage on the way down, today was only 300 miles..

The smoke has come in like a fog bank, hope your bone scan shows nothing bad John.

It seems that there`s always serious accidents on the Trans Canada Highway John. What are they looking for with your bone scan?
Is the smoke from just the BC fires or some of the American ones too Perry? California and some of the northern states also have terrible fires too.

This smoke is from BC, there's a wind current that brings in most of our weather, very seldom do we get a southern breeze except for the spring.

So your winter chinooks come from BC?

They come in from the Lower and middle parts of BC but originate from the ocean depending on the northern pressure zone. Once and awhile it'll come up from states, those are really dry chinooks, the others usually have a snow dump that lands on Edmonton.

It would be nice if we got shorter and warmer winters, I`m getting too old for long, cold winters.

That's why I moved to Calgary, for anyone with a lung disease, it's the most temperate place in Canada and generally has one of the lowest pollution levels. It also has good medical access and a strong enough economy that it's easy to survive here even with the high unemployment rate. I've had no problem with finding work right now as I'm in demand.

Happy Friday Mornin'all. Very smokey here. It rolled in heavy last night around 9pm. It looked like heavy fog, but smelled like smoke. I'm off next week. If the weather stays cooler, I hope to get some much needed work done. Have a great day guy's.

Good morning everyone, smoke is fairly heavy here again this morning, coming home last night all the way from Thunder Bay you could see it hovering over the tree line..
