We had a Premier called Jim Prentice, he got the job because he won the Conservative Parties nomination, he was never elected. He brought in a piece of legislation that Ralph Klein had brought in during a previous oil bust that allowed the government to claw back all your Federal disability benefits if you were on any kind of provincial health benefits and made it retro active. It's cost me all my CPP disability pension since the month after my stroke. Your allowed to appeal of course and I had 5 final appeals in the course of a year, 3 no decisions and the last 2 were in my favor, now heres the catch. When Klein brought in the legislation he gave the Alberta Health Services union the ultimatum, all appeals won by the client are to be overturned by the office Executive Director or there will be layoffs in order to maintain the budget. Catch 22. It cost me 604 a month the first year and goes up every year as pensions are C.O.L.A adjusted, right now it's at 632 a month. He justified all his cuts to various programs by taking a 5% cut to his wage of $220,000 a year, he lasted 6 months, cost him $5500 off his gross, has been costing me over $7200 a year off my net. Now you know why Notley got elected and 42 years of Conservative pocket stuffing came to an end in Alberta.

I went from having money to being broke to having money and back to being broke, turned 2 of my 3 share issues in Coastal Properties into REITs so that I would have income. Now all the Government gets from me is an accordian file holder full of my yearly receipts when they do my yearly review and everything I earn I turn into personal possesions now, Morris, screw them, I worked for what I have.

Happy Saturday Mornin'all. I'm at work for a while. I loaded my last truck in Omaha this morning, and had to do the customs paper. I just have to wait for the manifest to clear, then I can go home. Have a great weekend guy's.

Good morning folks
Getting ready to head out to this World of Wheels auto show, it looks kind of scary tho. I'm used to seeing adverts promoting some Miss naked chick of the year thats there to sign your poster of her and its promoted as a **** show with cars and a TV show character. This one has some mean ugly guy by the name of Jinjar that looks like he runs a gang of clockwork orange thugs and another guy that looks like hes there to add your kids to his child **** collection, it may be the brokeback mountain effect that Calgary is known for. lol
It's a really nice looking day outside so the trip shouldn't be to bad, will take pics of anything thats interesting.
