The older ford tail lights always seem to look good.
Got pics of the new place, it needs a yard cleaning and a few repairs to the fence and gates but I'm getting some free rent for doing it. Not the prettiest of places but it'll do the trick for now and by the end of spring it will look a lot nicer and will be a lot more functional.
presents well from the front
a place to hide the ugly trailer
a good clean up and fence/ gate replacement and it will be a lot sharper
garage is 22' wide, doors are 8' with a 1' divider post
enough room for both trucks
theres a 230 lead into the garage but its disconnected so that will change, basement only needs a stove and it can be rented out, that won't likely happen but I may air bnb it for a few $, just an option.
Hey Shaun. It's a bit of a crap show here today. One of our big customers shut production down for this week, to catch up. We took some other freight to keep our trucks busy, and it's turning out to be a nightmare. I'm hoping this day fly's by.
It was a warm of 19 and clear today, no smoke, cleaned up some left over jobs in order to get ready for the next busy session, the calm before the storm. lol
Good evening everybody.
I`m not really sure I`d want to mess with Deathwish Coffee Shaun, I like my Folgers and Maxwell-house
Congratulations on your new lease Perry, looks like there`s a bit of room for your trucks.
I`ve always liked those 56 Ford truck lights John, they`re classic. I`ve starting dealing with the Old Car Center again, Mid Fifties want way too many US dollars for shipping.
Isn`t a crap show part of the trucking industry Grant?
My neighbor James is thinking about getting on the Transx O/O program, he's getting $27+ an hour hauling potato chips. I remember Transx from the late 80's and if they haven't changed it wouldn't be my option. They're guaranteeing 480,000 miles a year to California and back apparently, claims he'll clear 84k a year and will be able to buy his truck and run as an O/O after 3 years.
Sounds like a good deal but likely but the time the truck is almost paid for it`ll be time to trade it in, it`ll be worn out. 480,000 miles a year times 3 yrs is a lot of miles!
Happy Tuesday Mornin'all. The trucking gig can be very stressful. I will say, it's far from boring. Perry it's impossible to run that many miles a year. Hour of service regulation's, along with Electronic Laws will only allow a driver not much over 13,000 miles a month. Double that as a team. TransX O/O plan is a never, never plan. They take there expense/fuel money out 1st. Any big repair bill's can quickly break a driver. You should have operating capital before thinking of one of those plan's. Have a great day guy's.
