Good evening on a very soggy one, there goes any farmers making any progress on harvest for the next week or so.
What`s worse Grant, more trucks than freight or more freight than trucks?
A slow day makes for a long day Shaun. Good news on your truck.
It`s been quite a while since I heard the name Fenton Perry. I`d go nuts without having a garage...even tho I don`t spend a lot of time in mine any more.
What small part are you waiting for John?
I like both the manual in the GT and auto in my F150.
Hopefully by the weekend I can yard drive my 53 M100 resto rod....we`ll see.
It's a 20 year old 50/50 Oak and Oak veneer but it's the 1/8" veneer, the top is a veneer inlay over plywood, as close to real wood as a production line piece of furniture was back then. The rest of the front room is solid Maple in the same shade as the coffee table, the coffee table has castors which is why I bought it, has a pair of drawers to.
Feeling under the weather a bit so we must be having a change in it, going to check out the house down the street and take in an auction tonight and that will be my day.
Going to clean up the intake and buff it up to get the shine up but won't get to carried away as I like the deep color of it.
I like buying truck parts, putting them on is a bit of a different story Shaun.
I really like that table Perry, my wife has a could of nice Oak end tables made a few yrs ago.
Polishing that intake would take hrs, your wise not to get to too carried away.
It was a nice fall day here John, the sun came out after yesterday`s rain.
Just got back from the auction, got off lightly and only spent $205, had a hard time holding back as it was a small crowd. Will post the scores tomorrow and there were a couple.
These old manifolds can only take so much of a polish and then your chasing your tail, the mag content gives the aluminum some depth which I like.
There was a couple of teak pieces at the show that I had a hard time not bidding on, the new place will mean some new furniture but I want it to fit in with the house. If I pick the place down the street it means 40s up to 60s style furniture as its a glass stucco house. Theres a lot of classy pieces in that era and this town doesn't seem to have an appreciation for the mid century classics or art deco. lol
