Good morning everyone.
We`re baking here too Perry, no wind here either. The only break I get trimming trees is the shade from the trees.
Happy Friday back at you Grant.
We can`t even get thunder and lightning these days never mind rain Gerry, looks like I have a full time job hailing water for my small trees and raspberries this dry summer.
Likely that oil is leak is from the transmission front seal John.
Sounds like you get to pull your transmission John, great way to start a day.
Good thing theres no heavy lifting today and I can stay in the shade most of the time, woke up with a mild case of tingle face but it shouldn't be to bad. Luckily I can do what I want so theres no pushing myself today, in 2 days we get a temperature drop and I can catch up then. It's nice having built in warning devices.
I hear that BC is burning in some spots, hope you get Johns rain, hope we get a day or 2 of it also.
According to our news, half of Saskatchewan is parched and in desperate need of moisture, stay in the shade Morris.

I think it is leaking from the drain plug, will be checking it shortly. Washed the bugs off both the panel and pickup this morning..
The news is correct, we are parched and desperately need of moisture Perry. The only way I can handle the heat is to stay in the shade when I`m not suing the Bobcat to move the bigger branches.
If it is leaking from the drain plug then it`s a fairly easy fix, right John?
I'm on the short job program today. Do something that lasts 15 - 20 minutes and take the same amount of time off and park my butt in the shade. Bought lots of juice at the store last night and its coming in handy today.

It's not going to be an easy job after all, what I thought was transmission fluid was actually coolant that washed out the film of oil in the bell housing, need to change the frost plugs...
Hello Ian, is terribly hot and very dry in BC too?
Good morning.
It is dry and fires all over.
I have no more helos they are all out working and if i had 50 more and crews for them, they would be working on fires to.

Hopefully that won't be to horrible to repair John. I imagine you will have to take a lot of stuff off to get to it though.
Unfortunately there is quite a few things that need to be removed, my biggest concern now is the weight of the transmission and me trying to remove and replace it, then not knowing just yet of the struggles of replacing the plugs while laying on my back. Starting to realize the whole lot of hurt my body is going to be feeling by the time it's done. Had a mechanic tell me it would be a 2 day job but he's half my age...lol
