What`s the flat rate on changing a water pump on a 64 Ford Galaxie, 390? I started thinking I should have it done in about an hour and half but it didn`t turn out that way. A part of my time was cleaning and painting the new pump plus making everything shinny.
Got some more papers signed for my brother and started the transfer paperwork to his new place. It's a facility on the last road in town in the northeast quadrant called Saint Theresa Covenant care, he goes in there next week. Got to get a hold of the accountant to do a tax history and see if he has any CPP or OAS benefits due him. He basically has nothing to his name so theres a list of things he needs that I need to make and buy for him, the care home is going to be charging him for cable tv also and thats what his life revolves around now. What ever money he gets will mostly stay in his account until theres enough to cover funeral expenses for him if and when he croaks.
Not an enjoyable late life adoption but its got to be done.
Happy Thursday Mornin'all. It takes longer to clean & paint, than it does to do the actual water pump. You'd never see a flat rate shop be that meticulous, lol. Nothing last's anymore, even if they are made on our side of the pond. I've heard a lot of complaint's about kitchen appliances lately. Especially dishwasher's & fridges. Have a great day guy's.
Good afternoon folks!
The rest of my Galaxie is pretty minty so it was worth the extra time to do it right.
Grant has it nailed Gerry, they don`t make them like they used to.
Good afternoon everyone, power windows are working and the doors all closed up so next is to install the interior door panels and call it done..
Way to go John, I`d say that it`s been a lot haul!
What`s the percentage of courteous drivers in you areas? Here I`d say it`s just over 60 percent........on a good day.

It's been 3 years on this one Morris, as far as courteous drivers I think they are on the decline, even the transport drivers are worse these days ..
Just when I`m convinced that courteous drivers don`t exist any more someone surprises me. Today twice folks let me do a lane change with the gravel truck and Bobcat trailer. That gets a bit tricky in heavy traffic.
