Warden just got home from work and said it was snowing off and on earlier out in Grand Ronde at the Casino, but has turned to just rain. Rain is all I've seen here at the house today.
We are high and dry, but the folks north and south of us on the west side of the highway are having problems. Just went out and looked and the edge of the roadway and up into the lawns on the west side of the highway is a fast moving creek. Seems like some of this water may be coming from the river. W. Jefferson just across the road and half a block from here has houses that are getting wet and Jefferson has been closed and barricaded.
Going to grab a life jacket and my hip boots and take the pickup out for a look around. Last time we had high water, we used the winch to winch a couple of vehicles out of trouble. Some people just can not resist the urge to take their rigs swimming.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 32, was snowing hard an hour ago but now it is back to raining cats and dogs. High water from last night is completely gone, creek to the south of us is back within its bank.
