Good evening everyone. I worked on installing the wood floors all day yesterday and today (my birthday). I got the great room, dining room, two hallways, and two closets done. Tomorrow I'll do the breakfast nook and the last hallway/closets. I'll do the master bedroom next week.
They look dark brown or a little reddish depending on the light. The second picture makes them look really red for some reason.
Belated good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Solid overcast, but so far no rain.
That's looking mighty fine Evan. We're planning on doing something like that in the not so distant future to our kitchen. We want to get rid of the linoleum.
My cousin put down bamboo throughout his house about 3 years ago. He used a lighter "natural" bamboo color. I thought it would brighten up the kitchen, but the Warden has nixed that. I don't think she will be happy with a dark color in the kitchen, but that seems to be the way she is leaning.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Spent most of the day trying to come up with a reason to not do some book work.
Also spent some "quality" time on Craig's List and Boat Trader looking at boats. We need a new engine in ours and I was going to get a rebuilt for it. Then on the way home from the funeral we drove by a "park and sell lot". The Warden had one of those "look at that, isn't it PRETTY moments". Thought I was safe because it was too big to pull behind the pickup with the Camper on. The people who were selling it also thought it must be gold plated because wanted about 5K more than it was worth.
Well, that only worked for so long. She was sitting on the couch and playing on the internet trying to keep her mind off of her mother and came up a couple of boats in the exact same model series, but smaller, 10 years newer and $3500 less. One has about 2K worth of canvas with it, and pictures look like "show room". Oops!

Good evening Ford Fans.
Had a good day despite the cough.
Roy, good to hear the surgery went well!
Evan, the floors look good.
Jim, good luck with the boat.
Good morning all! In-laws left last night so the wife should be back to normal in another day. Her parents seem to bring out a different person in her.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 30° and clear with blue skies.

It's far from a forgone conclusion yet! She is talking, I am listening and the little voice inside my head is arguing with me and keeps pointing out problems with the current boat beyond just the motor.
She's looking at a couple of 2252 Classics. She keeps pointing out that they have a "fish" box built in the transom....
Two of the best days I remember when I lived in NC were the day I bought my boat and the day I sold it! It was a early 60's Grady White, red/white two tone. Beautiful boat! I could never get the old Mercury 2 stroke running right, though.
Very similar to this:
Sometime I'd like to pick up a decent drift boat with a small outboard, though.
