Hello everyone. I haven't made it down here in awhile but I thought I would let you guys see how winter is going for those of us on the brown side of the state.
We got about an inch of snow last night....made things pretty slick for a while this morning. Didn't get much above freezing today. Not much else happening....didn't even get to the shop today.....maybe tomorrow.
Good morning all! 29 at the compound as I left. After work I plan on finishing cleaning up all the branches and trees that have come down over the last month or so. Have a buddy that wants the firewood that will be helping today so we should get it finished.
Evan, if I'm too warn out from the wood I maybe able to make it around noon and help 'til 3. I have to go help a couple of buddies at 4 in Lebanon with somethings.

Let me know you got my number.
Thanks Andy. Unfortunately, I don't know what time it's getting dropped off. I'm sure I can scrounge up some help if I need it.

Alright just finished for the day and got all the trees cut and hauled still have some large branches but a good 90% done on the wood clean up. My buddies truck looked more like a low rider than a 4x4 leaving with a cord and half stacked in the back. I have a cord that I already cut so the compound is producing more than I use every year for the last 17 years.
We are looking at hauling hay Sat. so my back should be gone for next week.
Sure was nice using a larger chainsaw my little 16" couldn't get those larger trees cut. One was at least 30" trunk. even his we had to cut on both sides.
Good morning all. Warm out at the compound, and I smelled the dogs had scared a skunk as I walked out. Nothing like that smell to clear the sinuses in the morning. May even cut back on the coffee today that smell wakes you up.
