I work outside most of the year and bought Wolverines for the first time about a year and a half ago. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Very comfortable too! They are starting to get a little shabby but that's normal for what I do every day. I tried Timberland prior and did not like them at all. I had to file the eyelets because they rough and cutting through the laces every three months.

I looked at a pair of wolverines last time I bought boots I ended up on a pair of work zones. The work zones were amazingly comfortable but they only lasted about a month at work. So I figured I would go buy a second pair and use them strictly for motorcycle riding and social functions. After I got the second pair I noticed that this pair is no where as comfortable as the first pair even a month later they still are not as good as my first pair. But you get what you pay for and for $80 bucks who knows what the quality control is like.ill try the wolverines next time round. Thanks
the Red Wing 606 or 608 boot sounds like what you want. water resistant, sewn on soles, and chemical and oil resistant too. pretty much the same boot as the old Knapp Farm boot.
only thing is they are twice the price you are looking at.
606 is the 6 inch and sells for around $250
608 is the 8 inch and they go for around $275.
but you get what you pay for.
so true. i went about 8 years boot shopping after my last pair of knapps wore out, and could not find anything that met my needs. they either wore out within 6 months, or were so uncomfortable i tossed them in the goodwill box.
i hated the price of the red wings, but i got to tell you, they are without a doubt the best boots i wore since the knapps.
first day i had them on i wore them for 16 hours and my feet did not even hurt.
now they are 6 months old and feel more like a pair of good sneakers than stiff work boots.
I've had a couple pair of 8" Rockies that I use in the winter months carrying mail and t hey are amazingly comfortable in my experience. I've not had the leather 8" because they would be too heavy for walking all day so I get the nylon version with the lug sole. Very light and warm and quite water resistant.
I'm very hard on shoe soles. I would wear out a pair of work boots in 4 months and they would either be resoled or replaced. I finally found a pair that would last me 9 months on average. They are called WORX and are sold at Redwings. The soles are very rugged and the shoe is comfortable enough for me.
I've been wearing timberland pro boots for over ten years now, and they are decent.
They seem to be quite a bit lighter than any other boots, very comfortable from day one, and decent wearing.
