Right now I have a pair of brahma steel toed work boots. when I work for my uncle doing constuction for 10 hours a day for feet start to hurt. I was wondering what kind you would reccommend. My uncle wears Red Wing boots. He says a pair will last him a while and they are comfortable. I plan on spending a maximum of $150
I'm probaly going to buy some in may. I finish he school year and am going to be working with him all summer so I want some nice comfortable boots. The ones I have now are ok as long as you are not standing or walking for a long time.
i wear bates and been wearing them for 12 years. the pair i have now are about 8 years old, just got a new set today in the mail, need some that look good for walking around in, my old ones i use for work. they cost $115 at the Navy exchange, don't know the off base price.
[QUOTE=ranger1999 Bob]the red wings are ok the most comfortable i ever owned i got years ago and never found them again was somethng called Mack boots like the truck[/QUOTE
those old boots were made by Red wing shoes I think. the sears craftsman boots used to be made by redwing
hey i seen them mack boots at target like a month a ago ...but my boots of choose are the cat boots made by caterplillar ...i wear them till the tread is gone
I guess I'm gonna be the odd one out. I got a pair of Red Wings for wildland firefighting. They didn't last me even one season. I was a little dissapointed. I have a pair of Danners that I've had almost three years now. When they wear out, i'm gonna go with White's.
As for Steel Toed boots, the best pair I had were a pair of Cats (Caterpillar) They lasted me for years.
Your Gonna think I'm crazy, but I've been working cocrete for 30 years now, I've try them all , Red Wing , Cat, Wolverines. Carolina's, Georgia, Brahma.
I now wear a pair that's called Survivors, you can buy them at wally world for 50 bucks, there Steel toed, and soul shank-ed, with water proofed sides....Who knew.!!
Great Boot.!!
Timberland Pro Ti, they actually breath and will leave a little bit in your budget. Lightweight, lighter than most non-steel toe boots I have worn and very comfortable.
