So much for our brief Indian summer, one day and it`s back to the big chill.

Today was pretty nice again, only have 11 slabs left to put down but that will have to wait until thursday. The garbage can is full of rotted walk boards.

I should have taken a picture of the sun yesterday John, looks like it`ll be a while before we see it again.
How far do you have to go to get rid of those boards Perry?

I dropped down some skids 7 years ago and covered them with plywood, they've been damp to soaked for the whole time. I'm cutting them up with the sawzall and putting them in my garbage can. Had 24' worth x 4' have 8' left to take out, garbage can is just outside the gate but I can only put in so much each week.

It is handy that they get hauled away by the city, we have a Rural Municipality run reclamation site for disposal and recycling.

The hard part to this whole job is that I'm putting in 40 year landscaping. Everything gets dug down 4 - 8", gets graded and then properly back filled with clay and crushed rock with sand overlay. My original work was only meant to be in for 3 years as I wanted to get the previous owner into the idea of bringing this place to modern standards so that the house wouldn't lose value, didn't work out that way. With this owner theres nobody in the line of communication so it looks like this time it'll work out to both of our plans.
