I finally got the phone call from the VA to do my VA physical so they can finish my claim. I hope to get it done and have it kick in the month I retire. They say they can fast track the claim since I am doing it while I am still on active duty. We will see.
The diaphragm on the boat fuel pump is bad, boats have a vent line and it is sucking fuel up into the carb, 99 percent sure it is also dumping fuel into the crankcase. I am going to order a new fuel pump and hopefully get this running right before the 4th of July weekend.
I am thinking I have a real good shot at this job. Got my fingers crossed.
From my limited knowledge and talking to a retired Army guy, anything under 50% is tax free off your retirement check. Anything over 50% is a separate check. So 50 seems to be the magic number.
Posted on a boat forum and it seems the fuel pump is bad and it is pumping fuel into the crankcase. There is a clear vent line that goes from the pump to the carb and there is fuel being sucked up into it. I was 90 % sure but I was just double checking before I throw anymore money at this thing, yes I'm cheap.
I am back from my interview, 99 percent sure I got the job!!! The pay per hour is a little lower than I wanted but the job is close to home. So I could take a little lower pay and not have to commute to the Atlanta metro.
Hotter than the Saudi Arabian desert yesterday so I spent most of the day in the pool!! I have to finish scraping and leveling my driveway today so I can get the tractor back to my neighbor who I borrowed it from.
I have decided to rebuild the carb on the 79 myself, so I am going to order the rebuild kit next week along with the fuel pump for the boat.
I decided to fix the transmission on the motorhome and sell it, I am not going on a vacation for at least a year, want a bigger one anyway and right now I am just making insurance payments on something I am not using for a while.
I drove it around the yard yesterday and it pulls good cold so I am thinking it's not toast just might need a fluid and filter service. The fluid in there looks good and is nice and red so I am going to try that first.
Today is a crazy day for the news, sad that our world is going to hell in a handbasket quick. Trumps rating is going to rise after all this craziness today.
