Yea I know, should have done that instead of buying the dang boat but it is what it is. I am going to changing the trans fluid and filter next payday and see how she acts. I am still leaning more towards just pulling it out and have it rebuilt in August, she has 60 thousand miles and I would be real nervous taking it on a long distance trip since it acted funny.

When we go to Disney I want to do the full 7 day vacation package and stay at one of the Disney hotels.

Yea it did, If we get a newer motorhome between now and then, we will stay at the campground instead of the motel. Anything Disney is awesome.

I think that would be a bit much for a one time vacation, We want to do a cruise but not both at the same time.

Going out to finish put the carb back on the motorhome and get it running again. I need to let it run for a few to keep the battery charged and let the fluids flow for a bit.

I have to unbend the fender on my utility trailer today and install my new lights tomorrow, I used the LED kit I had on the boat trailer.

If I get those 2 things done and I don't have heat stroke I am going to work on the boat motor again. I am beginning to think the diaphragm is bad on the fuel pump and it's letting fuel get into the engine oil.

If it is a mechanical pump that would explain the gas in the oil. Hope it did not wash the rings and bearings

Oil pressure is great with new oil no smoke and no funny noises when running , I am going to get a new fuel pump and eliminate that possibility. Would hate to tear up the engine trying to tune it.

Got the fender fixed on the utility trailer and I will install the new lights when they arrive tomorrow. Mowed and weedeated the front yard and called it a day.

Charging up the battery and going to try to get the 79 to run for a few minutes tomorrow. Saturday and Sunday look like scorcher days.

Pretty productive day so far, I got the Carb back on the motorhome and it's running again. I rewired the utility trailer and installed the new tail lights. Going out to see if I can get the 79 running for a few minutes to run the fluids thru the systems.

I got this preschool dinosaur working for my little guy, new it is like 600 dollars. My sister in- law gave it to my wife for free but the batteries leaked and the battery box was nasty. It took me a good little while to get it cleaned up and to get it working but the little man is going to love it when he is a little older.

Got the 79 to run but only by pouring gas down the carb. Got the oil pressure up so that should have gotten most everything lubed. Broke down and mowed the horse pasture this afternoon. It sure was hot but it sure does look a ton better.

Sounds awesome. I love when I ask questions everyone starts fighting each other

Any way, I got my info needed for the 351 swap. Everyone is pushing me to go and buy new engine perches and/or purchase some. Decided to fabricate my own, since I want the motor to push 700 N/A, and then Ill slap a turbo on it

How you going to get that power to the ground without smoking the tires?

I do have 11 inch wide tires on the rear right now. Axle is built to handle. What my plan is, drive the motor stock, improve whats needed at slow speeds. Build the engine to 550 or more, see what else is needed. I will most likely need trac bars or "cal-tracs". I made a set in college for a buddy with a powerstroke with more than 1100tq. The truck got traction quite nicely. Then I will turbo, most likely need tubs, need a new rear end, trans, and some reinforcement.

This is not out of my area. Ive handled this stuff before.

Method to the end game madness for a personal vehicle. I will do the gains in stages, and improve where needed with the mind set there will be more thrown at it.

Better to build and improve, than hit end game goals and blow everything up

Good plan

I know I am not pushing that much HP, have posi and can smoke the tires on the Lightning on command. The clutch pack is starting to pull on one tire more than the other so going to upgrade to a locker one day.

Job interview is tomorrow afternoon and I am getting a little nervous since I have not done a job interview in 30 years. I am ready to lock something in so I can relax and then unsubscribe from the 10 different sites that send me probably 50 job emails alerts a day.
