The threads may not be completely different between the versions. The later style sensor is definitely available as a service part for the earlier model years (edit, but originally the early one was NPT vs flare for the later one). Also, you definitely need a different wrench with the new sensor though. If you want to verify, the thread is 5/16 SAE flare IIRC - for the later one.
Later part # 5C3Z-9J460-C (not sure about then service part part#).
Late model EBP sensor can be removed w/ a 1" deep socket, and I believe the early model takes that also, but not 100% sure.
5/8" (or 16mm) backup wrench on the tubing fitting connections.
