I have come across this 1942 Ford panel truck recently the old man wants me to have concerned about some one else cutting it up and me idea of keeping it original as possible his price tag is $1000.00
It's been sitting in the same spot for 30 years there's plenty of rust but the drip rail on the left side Scare's me the most rust in the floors and cowl care are expected the doors are all usable
I would do it, I had a panel and they are great fun to have. GB and Willow Billy can confirm this and help with the process. Also some guys on the Barn that have em too.
That drip rail is kinda scary....But panels are rare. In fact I just spent the afternoon in downtown Eastsound Wa in my tonner panel. I had a bunch of errands and ended up at the tavern, then the grocery store. Some people had never even seen a panel truck. It is a very worthwhile endeavor.
Love those old panels and a grand isn't bad if the back doors are decent. I personally would not tackle one with the drip rail rusted off it but that's just me, I'm used to this good old SD, Wyo, and Montana tin. Spoiled.
