Good evening everyone, hope you guys had a great Tuesday!
Spent the morning going to the hospital with Hannah. What we thought was an infection is actually a CSF leak. Put her on some medication to decrease CSF production and we're supposed to keep her as flat as possible for the next few days. If it doesn't resolve itself she'll be in for another surgery which would probably be next week.
Not much else going on. Early morning for me tomorrow, leaving the office at 0615 for a run to MEPS. Fun stuff.
Glad it wasn't a infection. Now keeping a little girl down on is a feat in it's self.
Found out Modems aren't cheap. Our last one was free from ***.com and it lasted 8 years. The new one is $189 and only good for two or three years. That's strange.
I was told to get a modem that has a rotter and wireless, that takes into account land line. our old one was 38,000 mg's and the *** in this area is 50,000. And needing one that day: went to Staples $250. Best buy $229, and ended up at a local place at $189 w/tax $207.
So I will in the future get on line and hunt something down.
Yeah, the combination units can be pricey, but you don't have to go that route. I'm currently using a $20 router I bought at Sam's Club that's been working just fine. I had an entry-level Belkin router for the last five years that always served me well. That one was $40 if I remember right.
Evening guys, got a little bit of work done today on the car, took off a bunch of crap. I've been labeling every connection and hose. Got the coolant drained out. I went to take the thermostat housing off of the head and one of the bolts sheered so I'm just not going to bother taking it off (I read that those bolt break easily and they were right!) It's probably gonna take me a while to do, maybe an hour a day is what I can get done for now. I'll post some pics of the damage once I get the head off!
Tom, I hope she doesn't need another surgery, have you been looking for new vans?
Happy Saint Patrick's day to all you Irish people. Wear green day, and maybe get a Shamrock shake.
Raining here this morning. They are watching a nor'easter heading up the coast for Sunday, but they think it will miss us. Those are usually the ones that nail us in March.
Starting to buy supplies for the camping season. Coffee, spices, coke, and booze. Maybe not in that order. lol have to pull out the camper computer and charge it up for the season. Charged and put the batteries in the camper last week. Our camping starts mid April.
Broken bolts are part of breaking down an engine that adds time to the procedure. looking forward to the pictures Kyle.

Yep, steel bolts going into an aluminum manifold can be a problem. I'm sure the coating on the bolts is supposed to resist galvanic corrosion, but over time that can break down. Sounds like a drill and helicoil will be in order.

Yup, we're currently thinking we will go with a full-size van. Test drove a Transit a couple of weeks ago and really liked it, the challenge is finding the right one. The configuration we would need is kind of a rare bird, as I would want the factory towing package and EcoBoost engine. Closest one of those I can find is in Utah!
Got a sausage, egg and cheese on a English muffin, toasted this morning. Drove wife in to work, her Wrangler is leaking oil and made a appointment for Jeep dealer to look at it.
They are giving a high probability to snow on Sunday. How much is the question.
Not good about the oil leak John, it's still under warranty right?
Still under warranty with 15,000 miles on it. 2015 wrangler Sahara. Not happy though. It shouldn't be leaking oil this early. My Harley marked it's spot, and my 02 F350 marked it's spot, but that was expected.

Not to be a downer, but in my experience, jeeps aren't exactly the stars of reliability. Chrysler doesn't do so well in that category. Still odd to be leaking oil though. Hope they get it sorted out for you quick.
They cured the first leak. Yes there was two leaks
First: leak was the cooler housing and that was taken care of today.
Second: there is a leak in the rear seal and in is not major at the moment, but being under warranty they ordered parts and I will get the Jeep back on Wed.
I will be off line until Sunday. Returning the modem. there is no code to get the Wi-Fi to work. There was suppose to be a sticker on the unit with the info and not there. Spent a couple of hours on the phone with *** with no results.
